Various Quranic Programs Planned for Week Commemorating Martyr Raisi

IQNA – Various Quranic programs are going to be held during the week marking the anniversary of the martyrdom of former Iranian President Ebrahim Raisi and his companions, known as “Martyrs of Service”.

The Quran and Etrat Deputy of the Ministry of Culture and Islamic Guidance will organize the programs next week.

Hojat-ol-Islam Hamid Reza Arbab Soleimani, the ministry’s Quran and Etrat Deputy, told IQNA that all government bodies across the country have prepared programs appropriate for this occasion.

In the government, one of the managers has been appointed as the head of the committee for commemorating this event, and the Quran and Etrat Deputy of the Ministry of Culture and Islamic Guidance has also collaborated with this committee in areas related to Quranic and Etrat affairs, he noted.

He said that as the custodian of Quranic affairs, the Quran and Etrat Deputy has prepared various programs tailored to this occasion.

All these programs have been prepared in alignment and coordination with the national initiatives commemorating the occasion, he added.  

Hojat-ol-Islam Hamid Reza Arbab Soleimani expressed hope that these programs would contribute to a meaningful and dignified tribute to the Martyrs of Service.

He also said that, even a year after Martyr Raisi’s passing, many aspects of his personality remain unknown.

President Raisi, Foreign Minister Hossein Amir-Abdollahian, and their accompanying delegation lost their lives after the helicopter carrying them crashed in the northwestern province of East Azarbaijan due to harsh weather conditions on May 19, 2024.
